Please do. Say what about those 3d glasses that are handed out by Pixar's animated film 'UP' Standard glasses with polarized lenses... You think?

Much nicer experience than seein red n blue as these colors could be hard seeing the dots in the distance or on the ground.

Report findings much appreciated sir Smile

Nvidia has the ability already to do this. All you need is the red and blue glasses. It comes with the driver. They do this to push the better version of it that costs $200. The links below will give you much more information. You must be running Vista or 7. By the way, AH is not supported. javascript:emoticon('Crying or Very sad')

Free Red and Blue version:

Supported games:

Paid version: (after you like what you saw from the free version)

Neato... I got 3d glasses, nice to see things in 3D! However, pay a price for 'colors' Since the shift is like blue/red/white ish...

Say now, I did watch the movie 'up' using their special 3d glasses that were just polarized lenses without messing up the colors (no colored lenses).

Can't wait one day to dogfight in 3D Smile

Well,

I went into CompUSA to try out sticks/rudder pedals and instead they had this 3D technology KIOSK with 3D glasses all set up to demonstrate how it enhances video games.

I didn't like it as my eyes felt the strain to focus, and it wasn't flawless either as the image was still slightly double. Yes it felt a tad more 3D like AVATAR, but it has a long way to go.

Also, I see problems with kids having EYE-Strain issues damaging their eyesight. I can't imagine looking at a game for long times, could feel the strain while watching Avatar.

So, given the minuses, it outwieghs the 3D cool factor, which wasn't really that much.

Since watching Avatar, I did wonder if doctor's have noted that this technology may lead to vision problems. The Real 3D technology in Avatar gave me bad headaches and I could only look at distant far away objects after the movie. If trying to look at objects closer, my eye muscles actually hurt. Note: The 3D Imax experience did not have this same effect because of bigger glasses, different focus, and blurring of details during fast movements.

My $.02

From what i have heard you also need a monitor that is capapble of producing the right res. and there are several other perameters, namely the video card.

The motion tech for the 3-D is somewhat suspect just like BB said, it will give you a headache and the number 1 killer of pilots....vertigo!, like antything else it would have a learning curve to overcome those issues, but i think they will need a few years to overcome any tech glitches and refine the product,by then aces might support it.

Oh yeah if you wear glasses that will screw with the video also...just what i heard.

just found out that the monitor has to be a 120 hz probably due to the inherent lag in the 3D protocol
