I just bought a brand new X45 for $99 free shipping on Ebay. Looks like a good combo. Can't afford track IR now.

Be ready to suck for a few weeks until you learn the joystick and trackir.

Let me know when they arrive and I'll send you some joystick profiles and trackir profiles.

Hell it took me half the day yesterday to figure out what key command for permission to taxi. All that shit in the 300 page manual, which I also had to google, about ground forces and multi-player and building maps - "How do I freaking talk to the control tower?" ain't in there. Had to google some dude's thread to find out. This game could be a time bandit, they overkilled everything and assume I know how to do basic stuff already. The website ain't much help either. Mad

They give you a simple TF-51D trainer, but the only training tutorial puts you in this hugely complex Russian jet with radar and a Russian speaking pilot. WTF do I need that for right now? I'd have to quit my job to learn to fly that monster...lol!

Of course if I wanted to have multiple flights on different radio channels and know about advanced teamspeak options for multiplayer - there's plenty of tutorials on that stuff.

I'm not even going to play it until I get the hardware I need in the mail. It's like playing golf left handed when I suck at golf anyway.

Okay I'm done ranting.

I bet the pony is tough without any startup guides. I was able to use the procedures from my A2A bird on FSX which is based on the original p-51 checklist. As far as the SU25 goes, I just learned that it came from Flaming Cliffs (the DCS multi-player game similar to AH) and doesn't have as many features as some of the other aircraft like the pony. The Russian cockpit is confusing until I found a cockpit repaint for it. I'll send you the link. Honestly I haven't done much with the SU25T since I would need to probably build another joystick profile to fly it.

Yeah Tunes, it's $199. Okay priority 1. I need subscriptions to my aircraft games.

Priority 2. Oh yeah and there's the kids and wife to feed and support.

Dammit Climber, I told my wife we were on a coupon-clipping, penny-pinching month. Next thing you know I'm in DCS world.

Now I got track IR on the way and a new damn joy stick I didn't need.

BTW Message me your phone number so I can find out what else I need.

Laughing

If my wife is at home when the UPS man delivers that joystick that will be the only intervention I'll need. I'll have to park at the front of the neighborhood and flag him down. Of course, she may notice a marked difference in the appearance of my desk...not sure how to get around that one.

Hey I just read that if you donate $40 to the development of DCS WWII Europe through Paypal you get all the planes unlocked when it comes out and the European Battlefield map and I think it said they will even mail you the flight manuals to the planes. Looks like they gonna have an AI B-17, eventually flyable, P-47, Spitfire for starters. The 109K4 and the 190D are already DCS planes, but it looks like you'd get them too? That's a superb deal. It looks like they getting close to pulling the trigger by Spring?

It said if you follow the original WWII manuals on the birds, that's how they will fly because the modules even have things like engine, electrical, radio and hydraulic systems exactly to specs.

One thing with DCS is once you pay for a plane it's free forever - that's cool.

Yes boys and girls. This is addiction.

Not a pretty sight.

First it starts with a gamey friend.
Next thing you know. You are on the street corner.
Waiting ... Watching for the dealer man.
He has what you need.

Thats why I have mine, sent to work ... toast
