Mother of all Missions [MoM]

The following briefing is an overview of the upcoming 'Mother of all Missions [MoM]' effort.
Some details not included here will be provided when you receive your Activation Order.
Some of these particulars will also be determined an hour before mission launch on vox.

Operation Iron Rain

Operational Title:	'Iron Rain'
Strategic Objective:	Destruction of BISHOP / KNIGHT strategic targets. The purpose of this mission is to cripple the enemy's war-making potential by destroying its means of production and supply. An attack on the BISHOP or KNIGHT HQ is definitely within the operational parameters of this mission. • Learn more about interdiction here.

Commanders Briefing:	1900 hrs EDT vox111 Revised: 13.April.2008
Mission Posted:	1945 hrs EDT Revised: 13.April.2008
Mission Launch:	2000 hrs EDT Revised: 13.April.2008
Expected Duration:	Preferabley less than 1 hour to target (variable).
Country:	ROOK
Arena / Map:	'Titanic Tuesday' / TBD (must be a large map)
Table of Equipment:	Boeing B-17G [strike package]
	North American P-51D [escort]
	Other allied fighters may be chosen at the squadron commanders discretion (ie. P-47D, P-38, etc.)
Tactical Aids:	No maps or other tactical aids are available for this mission at present.
Order of Battle:	This order of battle is predicated on participation levels. If sufficient personnel are available we will launch two Air Divisions.

Participating Squadrons:	Squadron personnel should report for duty no later than T-20. Missions will launch promptly. There will be no delays for any reason but the most extreme. If additional personnel are needed, the mission will be posted using the mission editor and ROOK players invited to join. Please note that we will undoubtedly have a great surplus in squadrons wanting to fly as escorts in fighters for this mission. Please consider participating as a bomber squadron. If we have too few bombers, the mission may be aborted. This particular mission is strategic and bomber-centric. We want the ratio of bombers to fighters to be 3:1. (ex. 60 bomber sets : 20 fighters) but thats adjustable as circumstances dictate. Our record to date as a squad is having 53 bomber sets in the air (159 bombers). We would earnestly hope to beat that total by an appreciable margin. Participating squadron commanders are encouraged to register on our forum to discuss the plan and organize its execution. Once I receive the registration notice I will activate your account so you can post and contribute to the development and execution of [MoM] missions.
Closing Remarks:	I want to make this first mission as simple as possible until we are blooded. Future missions can be more complex as we get used to working together.
