JOINING
If you are planning to attend, please be in the arena as early as
possible and join the missions as soon as they are posted. Then just
sit tight in the tower and wait for the mission to launch.
AIRCRAFT AVAILABILITY
Please do not join the posted missions if you do not have the needed
perk points to secure the plane. Pilots who do not have the required
perks will not be able to launch an aircraft. Only take a slot in
the mission if you have the perks for the plane you have reserved.
• IMPORTANT
•
If ENY issues are encountered that preclude the launching of either
of these [MoM] missions, the [MoM] will be canceled and a standard
mission with a new planeset substituted.
MISSION START TIME
Ignore the mission start time in the Mission Editor. I launch all
missions manually according to our missions timetable. Just sit tight
in the tower and wait for your mission to launch. Once you spawn,
listen to your Group Commander. Do not take off until told to! Pilots
who go rogue will just die quickly and miss out on all the action.
COOPERATION
Bomber missions are the most complex of the MoM missions flown so
it is critically important that you obey the instructions and perform
the mission as outlined by the Group Commanders. They have been briefed
on exactly what their missions are. They will need your cooperation
to successfully carry them out.
VOX AND COMMUNICATIONS
I request that pilots refrain from using VOX unless necessary so communications
between group commanders and squadron briefings can be heard. This
promises to be a HUGE problem so any cooperation you offer will be
a great help. This is especially important before the mission launches
and after we encounter the enemy. VOX transmission restrictions can
be relaxed while in transit at the discreton of the Group Commander.
SQUELCHING PLAYERS
These missions can attract players who have a propensity to spam voice
chat and disrupt critical communications. In such cases, we highly
recommend that these players be summarily silenced using the .squelch
command; one of the best and most underused tools that Hitech has
provided us with.
The syntax for the command is as follows and should be entered into
the text buffer as you would any other text message.
