Hey folks, I've been yammering for a while about the P-47 and Spitfire downloads for Microsoft FSX for a while and decided to put together a couple of videos showing what they entail and some features. This is my first time doing anything like this and try to ignore my poor grammar and "umbles" while narrating. The P47 video seems to go a bit long (nearly an hour) but much of this is due to troubles starting the engine with the cold temperatures at the airfield.

The following links should take you to my Google Drive account where they are stored. If you have a good connection you should be able to view the Spitfire video in 1080. The P47 didn't get that good of resolution for some reason. I will work on it tomorrow and try to get it up to HD levels.

P-47d-23 Video:

If there are any problems let me know. Again this is my first time doing something like this.

Enjoy,

Hey guys I learned something new about the 47! The pilots had a way of interlocking the throttle and the turbo levers with a simple flip of a lever. I had read about this in my pilots manual for the A2A jug but didn't quite figure it out until now.

I put together a short video showing how this works. I'm flying the 47D20 Wicked Wabbit in this video. I've been slowly working her down the Atlantic coast to Rio de Janeiro for a South American tour. This flight is a short hop from a small field into the international airport in Rio.

Here is a link to the video:
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6CZeaqz7ae0Rlh6end2cjliSXM/edit

I make mention in the video of the ADI switch being the WEP. The ADI is activated by a switch on the control column and is injected when the throttle is at 100%. The full emergency power setting is maxed at 56 inches of manifold pressure. Going over this tends to cause serious damage to the engine.

ok... so how long has it taken you to "learn" how to fly the jug... and how about some nice landing vids?.. I would love to dub some checklists from when I was flying in the C130. Nothing like hearing the rythm of a checklist.. *sigh* the yester years

I'll work on some videos where I go through the checklists and some landings. The landings in the jug can sometimes be ugly. It tends to come in WAY heavy and I tend to bounce and often miss my mark.

It took me about 3-4 tries to get a landing that I liked for this video.

Oh and I made a couple more videos for ET showcasing the different props available.

Here are their links:

I may be deleting these videos soon to make space for new ones of the Jug.

Enjoy!

I recently picked up another A2A aircraft, the P40! I put together a short video with some of its features. It's not the best flight as I'm still trying to get used to the airframe. It's a bit tricky and the landing was a bit wobbly.

Well A2A had a 25% off sale this weekend and I broke down and purchased the P-51D! I put together a video, sorry it's kinda long but I really wanted to show some of the cool features on this aircraft and I was slow doing the checklist. This was only my 5th or 6th flight and I have a lot to learn.

Enjoy!

A couple of videos of the A2A B17. The first was recorded right after I had purchased the aircraft and the second highlights a nighttime flight and autopilot features.

You all may be getting bored with these but I'm still having fun flying and making them!

I've got 2 new aircraft and 2 new videos. The first is of the Boeing 377 Stratocruiser. This is a really cool aircraft with some great features. There were only a few of these aircraft built since they were modified off of B-29's. This sim is another A2A aircraft that was built midway through their super technical curve so it has some cool stuff but not some of the best stuff like really detailed engine diagrams in the hangar, and the capability of starting the engines with the mixture off. This video also shows the add-on for this aircraft that is called the "Captain of the Ship". This incorporates a realistic stewardess and realistic passengers. If you don't fly well you don't get good reviews. I think you can hear a baby crying when I'm on final because I descended too quickly and didn't give the engineer time to equalize the cabin pressure.

Here is the video:
http://youtu.be/NvUnoKnkw4M

The next video is of a Bf109E. This aircraft was done by A2A but is not an Accusim aircraft. This means that it is very well done for a FSX addon aircraft but doesn't have the coolest bells and whistles of the other aircraft that I have shown. It is a solo aircraft that was brought from a multiplayer game similar to AH2 that never did as well. A2A took it and sold it as a standalone. There is talk on their forums of making an Accusim addon for it so I have my fingers crossed. The p47 and spitfire came about this way. If you want to really see something cool check out their latest aircraft: the Cessna 172. I'm not big on flying the 172 when I can fly a Pony but the realism is through the roof. It even goes as far as models the oil degrading over time even if you don't have your computer on.

So here is a video of the Messerschmitt:
